UAW Region 8 Staff Retiree Tom Savage Honored By Tennessee NAACP
Members of UAW Region 8 attended the Tennessee State NAACP Conference in Memphis TN from 9/21 – 9/23 where they attended workshops on topics ranging from voter rights to worker rights. Region 8 Representative and Civil & Human Rights liaison Mike Maddox participated in a panel about Right to Work laws and how they negatively impact workers ability to fight for fair wages, benefits, and working conditions. Retired UAW worker Tom Savage accepted an award that was presented to UAW Region 8 recognizing its participation in NAACP and fighting for equality for all. |
